Sieve lines for various applications: Recycled aggregates REMEXIT

Acting responsibly through the use of recycled construction materials

Demolition and remediation work on buildings and roads generates millions of tonnes of construction waste and road rubble every year. This mineral waste represents one of the largest waste streams in Germany – as in the rest of Europe. It is therefore a question of social responsibility to lead this waste away from the landfill. This can be achieved through appropriate treatment and reuse of recycled construction materials in high-quality applications. more

Facts and figures on mineral recycling in Germany

Recycled aggregates from construction and demolition waste have for decades been used as one of the most economical building material alternatives. In Europe and Germany, such materials demonstrate the highest recycling quotas. More than 12% of aggregates required by the German construction industry are currently covered by recycled building materials. more

Areas of application

In addition to its main applications as subbase and base layers in road construction and earthworks, REMEXIT is also used as a recycled construction material in the substructure of industrial buildings. more

Regulatory framework for recycled aggregates

The scope and complexity of regulations make it a challenge to implement the requirements of the German Circular Economy Act. Construction companies, planners, engineers and public bodies that use and tender for recycled building materials or secondary aggregates have to deal with both the technical regulations and the environmental specifications relating to substitute construction materials.

Production: waste turns into product

Construction and demolition rubble are the source materials: These mineral waste streams are carefully processed into recycled aggregates that meet the required properties for frost and load-bearing layers in substructures of demanding construction projects.

Multi-control system for extra safety

Implementing precisely defined working processes, we remove contaminated materials from construction and demolition waste and thus eliminate pollutants from the recycling chain.
