On our websites we use a version of Matomo which is implemented on our own servers. This is an open source analysis software for the purpose of statistical evaluation of visitor access. Based on this evaluation, we particularly wish to track which of our sites are accessed and how often, but not by whom they are accessed. The implementation of Matomo on our servers does not use any cookies. We only store anonymised user data for collecting general statistical values, without comprehensively analysing user behaviour.
A comprehensive analysis of user behaviour is also not possible due to the anonymised collection of the data. The IP address transmitted in the server log-in is anonymised on our server before it is transmitted to the Matomo installation and replaced by a random IP address. It is not possible to trace the IP address using the anonymised data, as time entries are randomised by the Matomo installation.
The purpose of the processing is the statistical analysis of user behaviour to optimise the functionality of our websites. Our legitimate interest lies in the improvement of our website.
For our websites, we use the technology of cookies. Cookies are small text files that are sent from our web server to your browser as part of your visit to our website, and are stored on your computer for later retrieval. They serve to make our online presence more user-friendly and effective.
- Transient cookies (temporary use)
- Persistent cookies (temporarily limited use)
This cookie is only relevant for web administrators. No personal data will be processed.
- Third-Party cookies (from third parties)
Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser. These include, in particular, the session cookies. These store a so-called session ID, with which various requests from your browser can be assigned to the common session. This will allow your computer to be recognized when you return to the site. The session cookies are deleted when you log out or when you close the browser.
Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period, which may differ depending on the cookie. You can delete the cookies in the security settings of your browser at any time.
You can configure your browser setting according to your wishes and, for example, decline the acceptance of third-party cookies or all cookies. We point out, however, that by doing this, you may not be able to use all features of this website.
In this context, a collection or storage of personal data in cookies does not take place by us. We also do not use technology that combines information generated by cookies with user data.
4 Google Web Fonts
For the uniform representation of fonts we use so-called web fonts, which are provided by Google. The Google Web Fonts are installed locally on our server. No connection is established with Google servers.
5 Processing of your personal data in countries outside the EU and the EEA
Your personal data will not be processed in countries outside the European Union and the European Economic Area.
6 Use of our apps
In addition to our online services, we also provide mobile apps that you can download onto your smartphone or tablet (mobile device). In the following we inform you about the collection of personal data when using our apps.
When the app is downloaded, the required information is transferred to the app store (Apple or Google), in particular the user name, e-mail address and customer number of your account, the time of download and the individual device code. We have no influence on this data collection and are not responsible for it. We process the data only to the extent necessary for downloading the app to your mobile device.
Using the app
The app contains helpful information for the use of secondary aggregates and has been specially developed for display on mobile devices. The app is downloaded to your mobile device and can be used without access to the Internet. No personal data is collected during use. Within the app we link to (external) websites which can be accessed via your standard browser on your mobile device. Information on data protection on the linked websites can be found, as usual, in the corresponding data protection declarations.
Map viewer in the app (water protection areas)
An active internet connection is required to use the map viewer. The visualisation of the geodata "water protection areas" is carried out through the integration of external services, which we would like to explain in more detail here.
GeoNames (enter postcode or city)
When entering the postal code or a city, a comparison with the database of the GeoNames service takes place. GeoNames is a project of Unxos GmbH, Weingartenstrasse 8, 8708 Männedorf, Switzerland.
Omniscale or OpenStreetMap (maps)
The previously searched postcode or city is displayed on an OpenStreetMap map. The map service is provided by Omniscale GmbH & Co. KG, Ehnernstraße 157, 26121 Oldenburg, Germany.
Geoportal of the BfG (water protection areas)
The display of the water protection areas (coloured markings with hatching) in the searched region is made possible by the integration of information from the Bundesanstalt für Gewässerkunde, Am Mainzer Tor 1, 56068 Koblenz, Germany.
Storage period of your data and legal bases
While using the card viewer, we collect your IP address and information about your end device. This data is technically required in order to display the water protection areas in the map viewer, in accordance with Article 6, paragraph 1 lit. f) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The storage period of this data (logs) is determined by our web service provider, 1&1 Internet SE (the map viewer is integrated into the apps via a REMEX domain). The logs are processed monthly for statistical purposes by 1&1 using an analysis software and deleted after 56 days.
The integration of the external services (GeoNames, Omniscale, Geoportal der BfG) as well as the technically required forwarding of your IP address to the providers of these solutions takes place in our interest to be able to display the water protection areas including our font in accordance with Article 6, paragraph 1 lit. f) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The external providers are themselves responsible for data protection.
Contact function of the app
If you would like to contact us via the contact function of the app, a connection will be established via the standard browser on your mobile device to the contact form (details see above) of our website.
Cookies and Co. (app)
Processing of your personal data in countries Outside the EU and the EEA (App)
Your personal data will not be processed in countries outside the European Union and the European Economic Area during the use of our apps, with the exception of the transmission of your IP address and information about the mobile device to GeoNames (Switzerland is regarded by the EU Commission as a country with an appropriate level of data protection, server location is Germany).
